Free tool · BIMI checker

Will your logo show upnext to your email?

Check a domain's BIMI record, its SVG logo, the mark certificate behind it and when that certificate expires. Free, no sign-up.

We log the domain you check to keep this tool working and see which tools are worth building. See our Privacy Policy.

What we check for BIMI

The record

A TXT record at default._bimi.yourdomain with v=BIMI1, the logo address (l=) and the certificate address (a=).

The logo

An SVG in the Tiny P/S format, served over HTTPS, with a title and no scripts. We fetch it and check those rules.

The certificate

A mark certificate (VMC or CMC) that proves the logo is yours. We read its expiry date, because inboxes stop showing the logo the day it lapses.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my BIMI logo not showing?

The most common reasons are a DMARC policy that is not yet quarantine or reject for all mail, a logo that is not in the SVG Tiny P/S format, no mark certificate, or a certificate that has expired. This checker tests all four.

Do I need a certificate for BIMI?

The largest inboxes only show BIMI logos backed by a Verified Mark Certificate or a Common Mark Certificate. Without one, a few inboxes may still show the logo, but most will not.

What happens when the certificate expires?

Inboxes stop showing your logo. Domain Lab reads the expiry date on every check and warns you 30, 14, 7 and 1 days before it, the same way it does for SSL certificates.

Does BIMI make my email more secure?

Not directly. It rewards domains that already block spoofing with DMARC, and it makes your real mail easier to recognise. The security comes from SPF, DKIM and DMARC underneath it.
